The Pathfinder manual was written by Dr. Glen Miller our chief "Lean" consultant. Glen was a sergeant in the Army Rangers and remembers the benefits and value of a simple field manual.

The manual is 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and designed for reference while in the plant. Basic tools of Lean are briefly described and outlined. Supervisors and line leaders find the Pathfinder manual particularly suited to the day to day crush of a manufacturing plant.

If some part of the process is bogged down or to fast or creating rework, the supervisor can turn to the manual and quickly ascertain the first steps for LEAN problem solving. Lean tools outlined include 5S, Visual Factory, Flow and Kaizen.
