Mark Venable provides organizational development services focusing on translating organizational learning and teamwork into organizational performance.
Mr. Venable has extensive experience leading and supporting projects involving organizational performance and problem solving in team settings. His technical expertise combined with his respect for the human and cultural dynamics that constrain all change efforts result in effective and sustainable solutions. His accomplishments include development and implementation of an improved operating experience program with web-based tools to provide enterprise wide access to human performance improvement information, finding ways to link the performance evaluation process at a large New England hospital more closely with the hospital’s mission and values. Recently Mark developed a conflict resolution-training program for a mid-sized specialty coffee company.
Mr. Venable formerly worked in the US nuclear industry for 22 years. More than half of that experience was in management, assessment, process improvement, corrective actions, and root cause analysis. Mr. Venable has developed and implemented self-assessment, corrective action, and operating experience programs and supervised the independent safety-engineering group during a major turnaround of the largest power plant in New England.
Mr. Venable received his Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of New Haven. He has been a licensed professional engineer since 1985.
