Donald
Havas is the president of Applied Technology and Science, Inc., an engineering
consulting practice. Donald provides specialty manufacturing engineering
services to our clients. He is adept in trouble shooting production problems and
offers engineering based solutions to more difficult flow and throughput
constraints.
In the
course of his career, Donald has been a Senior Member of the Society for
Manufacturing Engineers, the president of the Keystone IMAPS chapter, the chair
of the IMAPS National Technical Committee Subcommittee on Manufacturing and
Process Control and Technical Chair for the IMAPS 2005 International Symposium.
For ten years he wrote a column in the Keystone Chapter Newsletter that
addressed trends and innovation in the packaging industry. Donald is well versed
in Lean Manufacturing and has held quality engineering and process improvement
titles throughout his long career.
Donald has
over 20 years engineering experience in the Electronics and Packaging industry.
He received a BS in Engineering Science from State University of New York at
Buffalo. He also earned a Master of Science in Solid State Electronics from
Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
